The Strategic Management Society is the premier global academic society for strategy scholars and practitioners, with over 3,000 members spanning 80+ countries. In 2025, the SMS Board created a new leadership position — Media Chair — and appointed me as the first person to hold this role.
As inaugural Media Chair, I guide the society's media and communications strategy, shaping how one of the world's most influential management research organizations engages with the public, practitioners, and the broader academic community.
In academia, leadership service in a global professional society at this level is a significant milestone — typically associated with advancement to full professor, the highest faculty rank.
